Artist - Illustrator - Musician

 Richard Michael Wiseman is a London-born artist, illustrator, and musician whose work explores mythology, spirituality, symbolism, and cultural memory.

Raised atheist, his visual and philosophical outlook was later shaped by encounters with diverse spiritual traditions, including those of India, Aboriginal Dreamtime, Indigenous cultures, and his Celtic and Druidic heritage. Christianity later became another influence within his continuing exploration of faith and symbolism.

His visual language was also shaped by the psychedelic and 

space-rock culture of the late 1960s and ’70s, the post-punk and gothic movements that followed, and as the early rave scene emerging 

from Manchester. During this period, Wiseman travelled through India by motorcycle before eventually arriving in California as the grunge explosion was reshaping the musical landscape.

His practice spans illustration, murals, street art, large-scale works, and poster design.

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Wiseman creates richly symbolic work defined by bold composition, layered meaning, and an independent visual identity.
